Korean Wings

ingredients

For the wing

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • Gochujaru Korean chili flakes(about 1/8 cup)
  • Cornstarch to fully coat(about 1/8-1/4 cup)
  • Spray oil

 Gochujang Wing Sauce

  •  3 TBSP Gochujang paste
  • 3 TBSP Honey
  • 2 tsp Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 4 TBSP Soy Sauce
  • 1-2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1-2 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 handful brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter (my secret ingredient, not traditional)
  • 2 TBSP green onion
  • 1-2 TBSP Gochujaru flakes

directions

Get your sauce to simmer, let it simmer for 3-4 minutes, stir and set aside. Rinse and dry your wings. Get them in a bowl, season with Korean chili flakes. Next hit it with cornstarch. Lay them in your air fryer basket, spray with oil, and cook on 400 for 14 minutes or until crispity crunchity. I like to do in batches to achieve ultimate crispiness, but feel free to stack them in your air fryer and just flip more often. Immediately toss with sauce and add more green onions for garnish. Serve immediately. Enjoy your life.
